Going to the Collide Conference, and spending four days in Halifax last week, was such a treat. I met lots of new people, heard about all kinds of neat things happening in the design and technology sector, and dined like a king. (Like a queen?)

But coming home to Cape Breton, and to my little home in North Sydney, where my honey was waiting for me, and where I could walk in the woods, sleep in, and nap on the couch while he watched football, was the best part.

While technology may be advancing very quickly and innovative design is exciting, what really makes my soul happy is far, far older: the wisdom of Mama Nature, and the refuge of love.
